Dranetz-BMI - The Year 2000 Recommendations for the 626 Operating/Utility Software
The 626 unit has several different types of PC software packages that allow the users to control the unit, download data, and view stored data. The main base software package that is required is the 626-OS-1001 (DMII Version 2.1), which is Year 2000 compliant because the software will run on any PC that is Year 2000 compliant. The additional software package options (all revisions of the utilities) that are available are not Year 2000 compliant.
Dranetz-BMI will not be supporting a Year 2000 upgrade for these products. For your convenience we have built a list of the software packages, the issues, and some recommended work-arounds, should you wish to continue to use them. All of these packages have the same issues and consequently have the same work-arounds.

The software will not allow the user to specify (enter) a date in the Year 2000. Software will not allow the user to plot, search, or download data beyond 12/31/99. |
The date on the PC that the software is loaded on, must be set back to 1980 as well as the unit date. The 626 itself is Year 2000 compliant, but because the software searches on the date that the unit applies, the unit date must be set back. If this is performed the software may be used during and after the year 2000. |
