Dranetz-BMI - The Year 2000 Recommendations for the 2400 and 4800

Year 2000 Class 3
Leap Year Not Compliant

The 2400 and 4800 (Firmware Version F0.0) both carry a Class 3 compliance code regarding the Year 2000 with a couple of exceptions.  These products do carry a Not Compliant code for Leap Year because they do not recognize leap years. These products have been obsolete for some years, so Dranetz-BMI will not be issuing Year 2000 compliant upgrades.

Recommendations

Unit will not roll-over to the Year 2000 correctly. Manually set the date for the Year 2000 (i.e. 1/1/2000). The unit will continue to record data to the strip chart properly from that point.
Unit does not recognize any Leap Years. Let the unit change from Feb 28, to Mar 1, acquiring data. On the actual date of Mar 1, 2000 that the unit will read Mar 2, set it back to Mar 1.
Unit will not store data to the disk drive during the 21st century. If you choose to keep the disk drive feature operational, you are going to need to set the units date back to 1980, this will allow the unit to store data to the floppy drive.
