Dranetz-BMI - The Year 2000 Recommendations for 656-OS-2001 (656GHA) Software

The 656-OS-2001 Software (Version 1.42) will have some difficulties during and after the Year 2000. We've developed a list of known issues that this product will encounter and some recommended work-arounds to keep it in use.

Known Issues:
All command functions of the 656-OS-2001 software will operate properly, with one exception. The only function that will not operate properly, is the "Plot Events by Date and Time" command. This function will not allow for the date to be set to view data beyond 12/31/99. The software will only recognize a 2 digit year entry between 80 and 99, and will only apply that to the 20th century.

All data that is saved in a Post 2000 time frame may only be viewed by 656-OS-2001 software using the "View Events by Number" function, or by scrolling through each event.

Recommendations:
Change the unit date to 1980 and record data. All data that is recorded in the unit will have a 1980 date stamp. When using the software to search and view data by date and time, substitute the number 80 in place of 00 for the year. This will allow for continued use of this software package.

Reminder: When using a command such as "View data for last 24hrs", the user does not enter a date or time; the software uses the PC date and counts 24hrs backward. This feature will not work correctly unless the PC date and time is set the same as the unit date and time.
