Dranetz-BMI - The Year 2000 Recommendations for the 8000-2
The 8000 and 8000-2 (Firmware Versions: ACP - 2.4, IOP -
3.0, CPU - 3.3)are not Year 2000 compliant. Several tests have been performed
to evaluate the impact this will have. This product is obsolete, so Dranetz-BMI will
not be issuing an upgrade.
Dranetz-BMI has developed a list with recommendations for work-arounds.
| Status | Recommendations |
|---|---|
| Unit does not roll over to the year 2000 accurately. It displays an ambiguous date that will not calculate or record properly. No further testing could be performed. | Set the unit date back to 1980, the unit will continue to function properly with the exception that it will be in a 1980 time frame. |
