Dranetz-BMI - The Year 2000 Recommendations for PCPP1 Software
The PCPP1 Software (Version 3.1) will have some difficulties during and after the Year 2000. We've developed a list of known issues that this product will encounter and some recommended work-arounds to keep it in use.
Known Issues:
The PCPP1 Software will operate in the 21st Century (i.e. will not lock or
close the system O/S). However, the command functions within PCPP1 will NOT function
properly for the 21st century criteria. The PCPP1 Software does not allow for
date entries beyond 12/31/99 23:59:59. This includes such commands as: Plotting data by
date/time, View data by date/time, Downloading data by date/time, etc.
Recommendations:
Change the unit date to 1980 and record data. All data that is
recorded in the unit will have a 1980 date stamp. When using the software to search
and view data by date and time, substitute the number 80 in place of 00 for the year. This
will allow for continued use of this software package.
Reminder: When using a command such as "View data for last
24hrs", the user does not enter a date or time; the software uses the PC date and
counts 24hrs backward. This feature will not work correctly unless the PC date and
time is set the same as the unit date and time.
