Dranetz-BMI - The Year 2000 Recommendations for The PowerStar Software

PowerStar  Software (Version 1.2) only operates with the Dranetz Models  808, 809, 810, 811, 812.  This software package will have some difficulties during and after the Year 2000.  We've developed a list of known issues that this product will encounter and some recommended work-arounds to keep it in use.

Known Issues:
The PowerStar Software will operate in the 21^st (i.e. will not lock or close the system O/S). This software will also search, download, and view data properly during and after the Year 2000.  The only issue that this product has, is that it will not set the unit date and time at a remote location.  It will do all other remote functions properly without error.

Recommendations:
The 8xx unit and PC may be set back to 1980 so that this feature may continue to be used.  Or the unit and software may be left alone, and the date and time would have to be set manually at the instrument (all of the other features are still functional).
